The past 12 months has seen incredible growth and changes in the Red Industries Group.

The company has gone from strength-to-strength, providing waste management solutions and environmental services to even more customers across the UK. Here’s some of the year’s highlights:

Environmental Resource Group

17th December 2018 saw us acquire Environmental Resource Group, and over 2019 the company was re-branded as part of the Red Industries Group.  The acquisition enhanced our service offering to existing Red and ERG customers, providing a wide range of waste services and great customer service from our West Midlands locations.

Community Funding

We surpassed the £1 million mark in 2019.  By the end of the year, we had awarded over £1.3 million to local organisations since the find began in 2017.  The Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund supports not-for-profit organisations with funding for community projects within 3 miles of our Silverdale or Burslem sites.  We’re pleased to have been able to support so many worthwhile community groups with funding in 2019 including cricket clubs, bowling club, churches and more.

Charity Support

We have continued to support The Donna Louise as our company’s primary chosen charity.  In 2019, we were one of the sponsors of The Butterflies project – which saw unique, hand-crafted butterflies installed at Trentham Gardens.  The support from the sponsors, meant that all proceeds from the sale of the Butterflies went directly to the Donna Louise.  We’ve also taken part in Christmas Jumper day,  general fundraising throughout the year, and a table at their Annual Ball.

Parts Washers

In 2019, the strategic decision was taken to focus on the primary vision of the company – waste management services and associated environmental solutions.  To enable us to concentrate on our core services, the Parts Washer division of the business was sold to ESPW. For more info click here.

Haz Environmental

In September 2019, the Red Industries Group made another acquisition – Haz Environmental.  The West Brom based company adds a renewed focus on industrial cleaning as part of the service offering of the Red Industries Group.

People

We’ve always been focused on our team – we know the key to success comes through our employees.  We saw a number of new appointments in 2020 including that of our latest board member, Group Operations Director Paul Lealman.

Fast Track 100

We were named in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100.  We were ranked number 73, as one of the fastest growing privately owned companies (by sales).  Our growth has been organic as well as through acquisitions, and we’re pleased to have been recognised in the listings.

Sponsorship and Community Support

We’ve continued to support local team Newcastle Town Football Club who are based at the Red Industries Stadium in Newcastle-under-Lyme.  We’ve also continued our sponsorship of professional triathlete Jacqui Allen, who finished the year off with a win at XTERRA Australia!

Looking forward

We’re looking forward to a successful 2020, and would like to thank all our customers and suppliers for their support in 2019.  We will continue to offer our waste management services for hazardous and non-hazardous waste and industrial cleaning solutions to customers across the UK – large and small.
