Work is complete at Wolstanton Bowling and Snooker Club
We were delighted to approve a grant of £3,000 to Wolstanton Bowling and Snooker Club through the Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund. Their exterior wall was in a bad state of repair and desperately needed re-rendering. The approach to the club and initial impression did not reflect the well maintained interior and bowling green.
The club has been around for over 130 years. They play crown green bowls between March/ April and September. They also have a snooker room with two full sized tables, which is open all year round. Their recently insulated club house is well equipped with a lounge, bar, and kitchen area – making it the perfect venue for functions, social evenings, and visits from local groups.
The club put in an application for money to have the boundary wall re-rendered with monocouche coloured rendering. Their application was approved in July 2017 with the work being completed in October 2017.
The appearance of the wall has been dramatically improved and has not only made an improvement to the look of the club but also for passers-by and the local community. The club hope that this will encourage new members to join their friendly community for snooker, bowls, or one of their social evenings.
We’re pleased to have been able to help the Wolstanton Bowling and Snooker Club through the Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund.
