The Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund has awarded over £950,000 to local community groups since the fund was started in July 2017.  We've helped football clubs, scout groups, heritage organisations, churches, community kitchens and more with funding. We won the Contribution to Community Award! The first Signal Radio Inspiration in Business Awards took place on Thursday 10th May at Wychwood Park.  The awards were a celebration of businesses and people including Entrepreneur of the Year, Training Excellence, and Lifetime Achievement. Landfill Communities Fund Spring Update

Spring 2018 highlights for the Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund. We're thrilled to have been able to award over £450,000 to projects in the local community since July 2017.  We've approved funding for a wide range of projects in the Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme area, from the erection of a colliery pit wheel as a tribute to the miners who lived and worked in the area through to the transformation of a cricket club's shower and changing facilities.  Here are just some of the highlights from the past few months... St Barnabas Receive Funding for Security System

St Barnabas Church approved for funding for a security system St Barnabas' Church in Bradwell is visited by over 500 people of all ages, who use the church and hall.  Community groups, such as Slimming World, Dance Groups, Debt Advice and more, all use the facilities which are situated in the heart of the Bradwell Community.  Unfortunately the church has experienced a recent string of attacks from vandals, which have cost thousands of pounds to repair as well as causing distress to users of the building.  Some of the attacks even took place when people were inside the hall.  [...]

We're delighted to have awarded even more money to projects in the local area We've had a number of applications to the Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund from not-for-profit organisations looking for funding for projects within 3 miles of our site.  At the last Committee Meeting, we awarded over £250,000 to local projects.  In total we have now approved over £300,000 worth of funding to projects in Staffordshire. NTFC Youth Receive Funding for Gym Facilities

Funding allows the club to make improvements to their gym at Roe Lane Playing Fields We were delighted to have helped Newcastle Town Youth Football Club with funding to make over their gym facilities. The improvements include new rubber flooring, mirrors, and new equipment thanks to over £18,000 of funding through the Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund.  The club put in an application as their facility was not able to be used to its full potential -  the carpet flooring needed replacing and the well-used equipment was becoming tired and unreliable. Fresh Look for Wolstanton Bowling Club

Work is complete at Wolstanton Bowling and Snooker Club We were delighted to approve a grant of £3,000 to Wolstanton Bowling and Snooker Club through the Red Industries Landfill Communities Fund.  Their exterior wall was in a bad state of repair and desperately needed re-rendering.  The approach to the club and initial impression did not reflect the well maintained interior and bowling green. The club has been around for over 130 years.  They play crown green bowls between March/ April and September.  They also have a snooker room with two full sized tables, which is open all year round.  [...]
