Key Accounts Manager

Objective of the Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will be a customer-centric professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about contributing to our business success, playing a crucial role in the growth and expansion of a company.

Main Duties

• Demonstrate excellent customer service and account management skills, placing the customer at the heart of every interaction. 

• Manage and grow your key client relationships, acting as the point of contact and ensuring their needs are met and revenue targets are exceeded.

• Identify new business, cross-sell and upsell opportunities within your key accounts, meeting agreed retention and growth targets.

• Develop tailored account strategies for your key accounts to ensure success.

• Create and present quotations and proposals that align with the company’s quality standards while delivering efficient customer service.

• Qualify opportunities and ensure a win rate over 50%.

• Work closely with the Internal Sales Team (CSEs) to maximise opportunities for the Group, including performing site visits to support internal sales teams and to suit the needs of the business.

• Ensure client retention and revenue targets are on track throughout your local regions by managing relationships, addressing concerns and supporting the local team.

• Work with key stakeholders for the response to bids and tenders.

• Utilise the in-house CRM system to track and log client interactions daily.

• Assist the CSE team with site visits/sampling/waste listings in your local regions as required.

• Assist the finance team in resolving invoice queries and payment issues.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant experience in account management, typically 3 years or more.

• Strong track record of meeting/exceeding account growth targets of over £1m per annum and associated KPIs.  

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.  

• Adaptable and effective in a fast-paced work environment.  

• Sales and opportunity qualification training is preferred.

• Proficient in CRM utilisation.
